About the Role
As an SAP Data Warehouse (DW) Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP Data Warehouse solutions for clients. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, designing data models, developing ETL processes, and ensuring data integrity and quality within the SAP DW environment. You will also provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance to meet business needs effectively.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in SAP technologies are a plus.
Experience:
Demonstrated experience as an SAP DW Consultant or in a similar role.
Proficiency in SAP BW (Business Warehouse) and related SAP technologies.
Experience with SAP HANA database, SAP Data Services (BODS), and SAP BW on HANA.
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and methodologies.
Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
Familiarity with SAP BI (Business Intelligence) reporting tools.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in SAP BW/4HANA, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Proficiency in SAP HANA modeling techniques, including Calculation Views and Analytical Views.
Ability to develop complex data transformations and business logic using SAP Data Services.
Understanding of SAP BW data architecture, including DataStore Objects (DSOs), InfoCubes, and Advanced DataStore Objects (aDSOs).
Knowledge of SAP BW administration tasks, such as system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
Requirement Analysis:Â Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for SAP DW solutions.
Solution Design:Â Design data models, ETL processes, and data flows to meet business requirements effectively.
Development:Â Develop and implement SAP BW objects, including InfoObjects, InfoProviders, and transformations.
Data Integration:Â Design and implement ETL processes using SAP Data Services to extract, transform, and load data into the SAP DW environment.
Performance Optimization:Â Optimize SAP BW performance by tuning data models, ETL processes, and database queries.
Data Quality Management:Â Ensure data integrity and quality within the SAP DW environment by implementing data validation and cleansing techniques.
Technical Support:Â Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for SAP DW solutions, resolving issues in a timely manner.
Documentation:Â Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, specifications, and user guides.
Collaboration:Â Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality SAP DW solutions.
Role and Responsibility
